Production Coordinator Job Overview
Location: Knowsley, Liverpool
Department: Operations / Production
Reports to: Production Manager
Purpose: The Production Coordinator ensures the smooth flow of information between departments associated with production works orders. The role coordinates communication between Sales, Production, Purchasing, Logistics and Finance to ensure orders are processed accurately and delivered on time.

Key Focus Areas

• Sales order and works order creation
• Transport booking
• Production administration
• Create and maintain Sales Orders liaising with Commercial and production.
• Ensure correct specifications, quantities and delivery dates
• Track order progress through production Production Coordination
• Ensure drawings and job packs are available
• Maintain production trackers
• Arrange transport for finished goods
• Track production performance metrics

Salary Benchmark

Liverpool Region Typical Salary Range: £29,000 - £35,000 depending on experience.

Learn systems and production workflow; Shadow production manager and key stakeholders to learn process order to delivery process.

Independently create orders; Manage transport bookings; Produce OTIF reports.

Own coordination processes; Identify improvements; Support production planning.
