We are now recruiting a Production Chemist to support the manufacture of radiopharmaceuticals, ensuring the highest standards of quality, safety, and compliance in a regulated GMP environment.

The Role

As a Production Chemist, you will play a critical role in ensuring that radiopharmaceutical production, radiation compliance, Health & Safety, Good Manufacturing Practice, and licensing commitments are consistently met.

This is a shift based role, requiring flexibility to meet customer demand and business needs.

  • 1 week of night shift followed by 6 weeks of day shift
  • Day shift: 06:00-14:00
  • Night shift: 21:00-05:00
Your Responsibilities

You will be responsible for:

  • Manufacturing radiopharmaceuticals in line with Marketing Authorisations and/or specials licences, ensuring full compliance with the PETNET Quality System and cGMP requirements
  • Cleaning and maintaining cleanrooms and associated equipment
  • Working to a shift pattern that includes weekends, in line with operational demand
  • Ensuring adequate stock levels of consumables
  • Shipping dangerous goods in accordance with ADR regulations
  • Collaborating with PETNET colleagues to ensure alignment of operational processes and effective backup across sites
  • Operating the cyclotron particle accelerator
  • Maintaining continuous professional development to stay current with legislation and scientific developments related to PET radiopharmaceutical production
  • Supporting the review and development of standard operating procedures (SOPs)
  • Assisting with site preparation for audits and inspections
Your Expertise

To be successful in this role, you will bring:

  • An HND or higher qualification in a physical science or engineering discipline
  • Good communication skills, including experience in a customer facing role
  • Experience working within a GMP pharmaceutical production environment
