Cpl Recruitment are delighted to partner with a leading manufacturer and distributor of high-quality polycarbonate plastic products to recruit an experienced Production & Warehouse Manager for their growing operation in Ashbourne, Co. Meath.

This is an excellent opportunity for a hands on operational leader to join a well established and expanding business supplying premium products across a diverse range of commercial and industrial sectors.

Reporting directly to the General Manager, you will take ownership of production, warehouse, inventory, and logistics operations, ensuring the business continues to deliver exceptional quality, customer service, and operational efficiency.

The Role

As Production & Warehouse Manager, you will be responsible for the day to day management of all production, warehousing, stock control, and distribution activities. You will lead from the front, developing high performing teams while implementing processes and systems that drive productivity, quality, safety, and continuous improvement.

This role would suit an experienced production, manufacturing, warehouse, or operations professional who enjoys a highly visible leadership position and thrives in a fast paced industrial environment.

Key Responsibilities Production Operations
  • Manage all day to day production activities to ensure customer orders are delivered on time and to the highest quality standards.
  • Plan and coordinate production schedules, labour resources, and workflow activities.
  • Monitor production performance, output, and efficiency, implementing improvements where required.
  • Ensure manufacturing and fabrication activities comply with quality, safety, and operational standards.
  • Drive continuous improvement initiatives to enhance productivity and reduce waste.
Warehouse & Inventory Management
  • Take full responsibility for warehouse operations, including goods receiving, storage, picking, packing, and dispatch.
  • Maintain accurate stock control systems and inventory records.
  • Manage regular stock counts, reconciliations, and inventory accuracy.
  • Ensure efficient warehouse layout, material flow, and space utilisation.
  • Oversee warehouse equipment, forklifts, machinery, and facility maintenance activities.
Logistics & Distribution
  • Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics operations.
  • Manage relationships with transport providers, suppliers, and logistics partners.
  • Ensure efficient order fulfilment and timely customer deliveries.
  • Resolve logistics issues and delivery challenges in a proactive manner.
  • Work closely with sales and customer service teams to meet customer requirements.
Team Leadership
  • Lead, motivate, and develop warehouse, production, and logistics personnel.
  • Conduct performance reviews, coaching sessions, and team meetings.
  • Manage staffing levels, shift planning, and resource allocation.
  • Identify training requirements and support employee development.
  • Promote a culture of accountability, teamwork, and operational excellence.
Health, Safety & Compliance
  • Champion a strong health and safety culture throughout the site.
  • Ensure compliance with all company policies and statutory regulations.Conduct risk assessments, safety audits, and operational inspections.
  • Maintain compliance relating to equipment, vehicles, and facilities.
  • Drive environmental and waste management initiatives across the operation.
Continuous Improvement
  • Develop and implement Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
  • Identify opportunities to improve efficiency, quality, and cost control.
  • Monitor operational KPIs and provide regular performance reporting to senior management.
  • Support business growth through effective operational planning and process optimisation.
Candidate Requirements Essential
  • Proven experience in a Production Manager, Warehouse Manager, Operations Manager, Manufacturing Supervisor, or similar leadership role.
  • Strong background within manufacturing, production, warehouse, logistics, or industrial operations.
  • Experience leading and developing operational teams.
  • Excellent organisational, planning, and problem solving abilities.
  • Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Experience implementing operational processes and continuous improvement initiatives.
  • Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and inventory/warehouse management systems.
  • Full clean driving licence.
Desirable
  • Experience within plastics manufacturing, polycarbonate products, fabrication, building materials, industrial products, or related sectors.
  • IOSH, NEBOSH, or equivalent Health & Safety qualification.
  • Experience using ERP, MRP, or warehouse management systems.
  • Forklift certification or experience managing forklift operations.
  • Knowledge of Lean Manufacturing or Continuous Improvement methodologies.
