PRODUCTION ACCOUNTANT

We are looking for a Production Accountant to join our finance team to workclosely with our Production Executives and Managers on the reporting ofproduction finances. The role would suit someone with experience in televisionproduction accounting, with multiple years in the industry, particularly insports broadcasting, working across multiple productions with a strong eye fordetail.

• Manage a slate of allocated productions within The Whisper Group.
• Help production teams with the setup and operation of their production onJustTV.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with Production Executives andProduction Managers.
• Manage finances across the lifespan of productions, from initial budget tofinal cost report and close-down.
• Act as the initial point of contact for all financial matters for yourallocated productions, liaising with both the purchase ledger team andmanagement accounting team where required.
• Review cost reports regularly, including current spend and projected costs,and meet at regular intervals with Production Managers to ensure accuratefinancial reporting.
• Complete month-end reconciliations for your slate, working closely withproduction teams to ensure deadlines are met.
• Support the finance team with information for company forecasting and cashflow.
Please note that responsibilities may be amended, added to, orremoved to reflect the changing needs of the production or organisation. Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
• Seasoned experience of working as a Production Accountant or AssistantProduction Accountant, with multiple years in television production accounting(sports production and/or branded content is desirable).
•Excellent organisational skills and attention to detail.
• Ability to work across multiple productions simultaneously across a widevariety of projects in scale.
• Ability to work both as part of a team and independently.
• Strong prioritisation skills and the ability to work under pressure.
• Excellent IT skills, with knowledge of a range of software packages,including Excel.
• A proactive attitude and a positive work ethic.
• Flexibility and adaptability to changing workloads and new systems.
• Financial awareness and a solid understanding of basic accounting principles.
Location:
The base for this position will be Kew, London.
Working Days:
Monday to Friday with 4 days in the office. Whisper offers the option offlexitime hours, subject to department requirements.
Start Date and period:
ASAP, negotiable contract length.
Salary:
Based on experience.
