The Opportunity

Our Product Supply NPI Lead position leads and governs procurement engagement across the New Product Introduction (NPI) lifecycle. Working with buyers, suppliers, procurement and product groups to ensure effective and successful market launches.

Job Duties/Responsibilities may include, but are not limited to:
  • Providing leadership for the NPI activities within procurement, including select sources taken from the category strategies and resource management decisions.

  • Monitoring and reporting NPI progress, holding NPI & design teams accountable for meeting quality and timeliness of requirements, and to assist the product group in managing procurement related capital.

  • Working closely with operations and product development in creating a supply chain for a new product.

  • Researching and assessing existing and potential suppliers; making recommendations on supplier selection.

Degree Requirement

Degree in a Business-related subject, or equivalent experience.

Skills, experience & qualifications you will have:
  • Accuracy and Attention to Detail: Understanding the necessity and value of accuracy; ability to complete tasks with high levels of precision.

  • Effective Communications: Understanding of effective communication concepts, tools and techniques; ability to effectively transmit, receive, and accurately interpret ideas, information, and needs through the application of appropriate communication.

  • Problem Solving: Knowledge of approaches, tools, techniques for recognizing, anticipating, and resolving organizational, operational or process problems; ability to apply knowledge of problem solving appropriately to diverse situations.

  • Project Management: Knowledge of effective project management strategies and tactics; ability to plan, organize, monitor, and control projects, ensuring efficient utilization of technical and administrative resources to achieve project objectives.

  • New Product Development (NPD): Knowledge of methodology, processes, and strategies of new product development; ability to develop an effective new product development (NPD) strategy and process to generate a range of products, services, and value propositions aligned with the organization's overall marketing and business strategy.

  • Supplier Management - MFG: Knowledge of processes and methods to effectively manage business relationships and transactions with suppliers of raw materials or product components; ability to apply related knowledge, experience and skills into real practice.

  • Procurement: Knowledge of buying and procurement; ability to work with organizational strategies and practices, and use tools for buying goods, supplies, equipment and services needed to conduct business.

Top Candidates will also have:
  • Experience with New Product Introductions in a large-scale manufacturing environment

  • Extensive experience with Project management

  • Executed all phases of a new product development program.

  • Experience successfully collaborating across international teams
