Essential Responsibilities:
Owner of Quality requirements on a product line supporting operations, programs and engineering teams
Ownership of root cause identification corrective actions reducing cost of poor quality (CoPQ)
Process and product audits and First Article Inspection for assigned product line
Supporting daily quality and operations reporting rhythm through standard work meetings
Identification of opportunities for improvement projects
Support customer communication on appointed product line(s)
Daily, weekly and monthly reports to shop leaders
Definition of quality control and inspection plans
Provide training on production quality and inspection.
Desired Characteristics:
Knowledge of at least one of; composite layup and cure / machining, assembly, non destructive testing (NDT), Metrology
Experience in Quality function within a manufacturing or maintenance organisation
Effective oral, written communication and presentation skills
Customer focused and understanding of customer needs
Good interpersonal and team skills
Excellent ability to work with digital tools and data
Ability to influence others and lead small teams.
Lead improvement initiatives and process development.
Ability to coordinate several projects simultaneously
Demonstrable structured problem solving skills
Proven analytical and organizational ability.
Qualifications/Requirements:
Relevant technical education or degree with application in a Quality or Lean function
Proven experience in Quality Control, Audit or Continuous Improvement
Understanding of Lean Principles and methods
Working knowledge of EASA / CAA regulations
Working knowledge of AS9100/ISO9001 requirements
Understanding of Safety Management (SMS) principles
Certified Auditing skills are highly desirable - or a desire to potentially progress towards relevant certification.
