Job Description
The Product Manager is responsible for providing independent oversight of BM's range of investment products and services to ensure that they continue to meet client needs, deliver good outcomes, and align with business strategy.
The role involves providing product-related insights to inform strategic decision-making, support commercial success, and help meet regulatory requirements.
Role Responsibilities:
- Deliver a comprehensive range of product oversight activities
- Produce product-related data, analysis, and MI to support efficient and reliable ongoing monitoring
- Own and maintain a central record of investment product information and data
- Conduct regular formal reviews for BM's range of products and services including assessments of value
- Identify product-related issues and opportunities, and work with stakeholders across business functions to recommended actions
- Support business case development and management of development initiatives within relevant regulatory frameworks
- Own and maintain specific product-related documents to support regulatory requirements including a target market guide and assessment of value reporting
- Maintain a high level of knowledge about product markets and the competitor landscape including product offerings and developments from peers
- Maintain high quality relationships with key stakeholders including product owners, business heads and ExCo
- Perform role always ensuring adherence to the expected behaviours stated in the FCA Conduct Rules
Knowledge, Skills and Experience:
- Demonstrable experience (minimum 5 years) in a senior investment product-related role within asset or wealth management (e.g. product management, product governance, product specialist, RFP, compliance)
- High level of investment products knowledge (discretionary and wealth management services, funds)
- High levels of investment technical and financial services market knowledge
- Strong understanding of business and commercial factors
- Proven analytical and critical thinking skills
