Job Description
Procurement Manager Food Manufacturing
Location: Dublin
Our client, a growing food manufacturer, is looking for a Procurement Manager to lead purchasing and supplier management across the business.
The role- Develop and deliver the procurement strategy, focusing on cost savings and continuity of supply
- Oversee purchasing of ingredients, raw materials and packaging
- Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms with suppliers
- Forecast demand with planning and production to keep stock levels right
- Review supplier performance, quality and compliance, including audits
- Report on savings, supplier performance and spend
- Lead and develop the purchasing team
- Experience in a procurement or purchasing role in food manufacturing
- Strong negotiation and supplier management skills
- Knowledge of food industry standards and supplier approval (e.g. BRC)
- Confident with ERP systems and Excel
- Strong communicator, organised and commercially minded
- Degree or diploma in supply chain or procurement (e.g. CIPS) desirable
