Chase & Holland are delighted to support a superb repeat client in West Yorkshire in the recruitment of Procurement Manager to join a business which has received multiple awards in the past few years. The Procurement Manager will be an instrumental part of the procurement function, reporting into Director level, and being a key management level. This is also a new role for the company, so they are searching for someone who has both the ability to lead a function, but also create and develop a team and upskill existing members.
Purpose of Role:The role will sit between the team members in the procurement function and the Director, serving as a crucial reporting point in the chain. It will also be responsible for setting targets and developing the company's already successful procurement model.
Main duties and responsibilities:- Developing and upskilling team members
- Identifying and implementing improvements to the procurement function
- Being the principal point of reporting for the procurement function
- Ensuring supplier contracts are robustly negotiated and best prices are achieved
- Setting targets and KPIs for the team and maintaining accountability for delivery
- Engaging with suppliers and actively managing relationships
- Regular monitoring of suppliers and updating lists of approvals where required
