Procurement Manager

Chase & Holland are delighted to support a superb repeat client in West Yorkshire in the recruitment of Procurement Manager to join a business which has received multiple awards in the past few years. The Procurement Manager will be an instrumental part of the procurement function, reporting into Director level, and being a key management level. This is also a new role for the company, so they are searching for someone who has both the ability to lead a function, but also create and develop a team and upskill existing members.

Purpose of Role:

The role will sit between the team members in the procurement function and the Director, serving as a crucial reporting point in the chain. It will also be responsible for setting targets and developing the company's already successful procurement model.

Main duties and responsibilities:

1. Developing and upskilling team members
2. Identifying and implementing improvements to the procurement function
3. Being the principal point of reporting for the procurement function
4. Ensuring supplier contracts are robustly negotiated and best prices are achieved
5. Setting targets and KPIs for the team and maintaining accountability for delivery
6. Engaging with suppliers and actively managing relationships
7. Regular monitoring of suppliers and updating lists of approvals where required
