Job Description
MMB are recruiting for a Procurement Manager to join our team in Cambridge.
We're working on a major new project to build a modern waste water treatment plant at Honey Hill, just north of the A14 between Horningsea and Fen Ditton. This new plant will replace the current one in the northeast of Cambridge.
Key Responsibilities:
- Procurement Strategy & Execution
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with project design, sustainability goals, and timelines. Ensure supply chain compliance with specifications and operational targets. - Tendering & Supplier Selection
Conduct digital tendering via Oracle Cloud ERP. Drive early contractor involvement (ECI) and strategic supplier selection to meet project objectives. - Contract Management
Draft and negotiate robust contracts that reflect project needs and mitigate risk. Manage complex package procurement with interdependent variables. - Stakeholder Engagement
Build strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Promote procurement best practices and framework agreements. - Market Intelligence & Innovation
Leverage supplier insights to drive innovation in cost, carbon, safety, quality, and delivery. - Documentation & Handover
Maintain accurate records and ensure seamless handover to commercial and delivery teams.
- Civil Engineering
Deliver remeasurable subcontracts, develop DFMA strategies, and measure productivity-based contracts. - M&E
Lead early-stage supplier selection, ensure process plant compatibility, and manage performance-based contracts.
- Align procurement with project timelines using a 13-step Procurement Management Tool.
- Integrate pre-selected technologies into procurement strategies and supplier decisions.
- Strong understanding of NEC 3 ECC Suite of Contracts.
- Experience in managing procurements with interdependent variables.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
- Proficiency in using Oracle Cloud ERP or similar systems.
