Job Title: Procurement Leader (Construction)

What you'll be doing:
  • Collaborate with internal teams and external professional partners to develop sourcing and contracting solutions for a 10+ year investment programme in the North West
  • Provide commercial and supply chain support across delivery programmes
  • Lead the end-to-end procurement process, inclusive of tender pack development, evaluation and award
  • Conduct supplier negotiations, covering all commercial aspects, to achieve the best outcomes for the business
  • Support the development of supply chain strategies and drive the implementation of associated plans
  • Ensure effective communication and resolution of customer and supplier issues throughout the procurement process
  • Monitor and report on cost savings and cost avoidances
Your skills and experiences:
  • Proven experience in supply chain within the construction industry
  • In-depth knowledge of JCT and NEC construction contracts
  • Good understanding of business and procurement approaches, techniques, processes, policies, and strategy
  • Experience in contract and supplier performance management
  • Experience in public sector or regulated environments
