Procurement Coordinator

As a Procurement Coordinator, you work as part of the Procurement team, liaising regularly with the Warehouse team. Following standard processes, you will assist in purchasing required goods (primarily electrical components and metalwork), ensuring that parts received match purchase orders. You will proactively follow up with suppliers, maintain accurate data on our internal systems and monitor stock levels to identify materials urgently required for Production. You will work to deadlines in a fast-paced environment, ordering supplies and equipment based on production requirements. This role will suit someone who is open-minded and enjoys multitasking and adapting to changing priorities. Key responsibilities Procurement- Develop and maintain positive working relationships with suppliers.
- Create production orders on SAP Business One and issue POs to suppliers.
- Work closely with Engineers and Project Managers to ensure Bills of Materials (BOMs) are accurate, complete and clearly defined.
- Be confident in following up on unclear or inconsistent data - be it from internal colleagues or external suppliers - to ensure you have the detail you need for efficient procurement.
- Track orders and ensure timely delivery, following up as needed to confirm or change orders.
- Update BOMs (Bill of Materials) and amend production orders as necessary.
- Check with the Warehouse team to ensure supplies arrive in good condition.
- Execute and monitor MRP runs in SAP to monitor stock levels and ensure materials are available as needed and you maintain continuity of supply.
- Analyse MRP outputs, planned orders and exceptions to support production schedules.
- Liaise with the Production and Warehouse teams to resolve supply issues as they arise.
- Maintain up-to-date product code information on SAP Business One.

- Deliver your duties in a professional manner, with confidentiality and discretion.
- Complete all training as required for the role.
- Support other teams as needed if asked to carry out other duties within the business.
- A natural communicator, with the ability to proactively engage with suppliers and colleagues.
- Previous experience (min 2 years) in a Procurement / Warehouse / Stores environment.
- Experience with SAP MRP (Material Requirements Planning), including materials planning, inventory replenishment, and supply/demand coordination.
- Strong computer skills with proficiency in MS Excel and Outlook.
- Excellent attention to detail and organisational skills, with a focus on precision.
- Fluent in spoken and written English.
- Eligible to work in Ireland (with current valid work permit if needed).
- Knowledge of the switchgear industry.
- Experience of SAP Business One and/or Smartsheets is an advantage (whereby training will be provided).
- Previous exposure to Procurement in a manufacturing environment.
- Based primarily onsite in our office in Rathcoole, Co Dublin.
- Occasional evening or weekend work to meet project deadlines or deal with client requirements.
