Apprentice Process Technician Responsibilities

The Apprentice Process Technician supports manufacturing operations by assisting with routine production activities such as equipment preparation, material handling, in process checks, basic equipment verification, sampling activities, material or solution preparation, stock control, and maintenance of production equipment and tools.

Additional responsibilities include:

• Assisting in maintaining a safety oriented culture and cGMP compliance.
• Performing initial troubleshooting of issues identified during routing operations.
• Investigating operational deviations through the Quality System and engaging relevant functions.
• Providing input into the creation and maintenance of area SOPs and batch records.
• Preparing materials for batches and batch manufacturing of biopharmaceutical products.
• Using Lean tools such as Method 1 and 5S to optimize efficiency and promote a continuous improvement culture.
• Assisting in facility start up, installation, and validation activities for new product introductions.
• Working shift based (24/7 operations) on day and night shifts.

Learning: This role incorporates on the job training and off the job education. Apprentices will attend college for 15 weeks of block release at TU Dublin and will return to Pfizer for 9 months.

Additional Information

Applicants must be legally eligible to work in Ireland. No relocation support is available for this position.
