Job Description

This role can be based at any of the following office locations: London, Birmingham, Bristol, Manchester, York. At ORR we have adopted hybrid working and are currently expected to work from a workplace location for a minimum of two days per week or 40%.

We are looking for a Private Office Administrator to work within the Private Office team that provides executive support to ORR's Chair, Chief Executive and non-executive board members. It also carries out all the arrangements and high-level support required to run board meetings and committees, and director level meetings and events.

As part of a team of five, this is an excellent opportunity to work at the heart of the strategic decision-making and governance of ORR, supporting our work to protect the interests of current and future rail and road users and promote value for money for taxpayers.

You will need good oral and written communication skills and must be confident engaging with people at the highest levels. It is also important that you can listen well and raise issues or concerns if needed. Reflecting the seniority of those we support, good attention to detail and a conscientious approach is essential.

We are looking for someone who enjoys being busy, is curious and keen to learn and takes pride in doing a good job. You will learn, grow and thrive in this role if you lean-in to understand why we do things and engage with the content, and use your initiative.
