Private Cook & Housekeeper - Esher, Surrey - £50,000

The Role

A private, discreet family based in Esher are seeking an exceptional Cook and Housekeeper to join their household on a 50/50 split basis. This is a wonderful opportunity for a talented domestic professional to become a valued, long-term member of a warm and busy family home.

The successful candidate will manage the property to the highest possible standard, while also providing genuinely delicious, healthy, home-cooked food - including a comforting, home-cooked meal ready for the family's return from work and school. A true love of cooking, a creative flair for Mediterranean-style cuisine, and a genuine love of dogs are all essential, as the role also includes daily dog walking.

• Monday to Friday, approximately 10am-6pm (c. 40 hours per week)
• Flexibility to work around the successful candidate's schedule
• £50,000 per annum

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare healthy, creative, Mediterranean-inspired meals for the family
• Provide warm, comforting home cooking for when the family returns from work and school
• Manage grocery shopping, meal planning, and kitchen organisation
• Maintain the home to an impeccably high standard, including cleaning, laundry, and ironing
• Manage household supplies and liaise with other staff or contractors as required
• Undertake daily dog walking and general care of the family dog(s)

Candidate Profile

• Previous experience in a private household as a cook and/or housekeeper is essential
• A genuine, demonstrable love of cooking, with strong Mediterranean cuisine experience
• Creative and confident with menu planning and fresh, healthy meal preparation
• Meticulous, high housekeeping standards
• A genuine love of dogs, with willingness to walk and care for the family pet(s) daily
• Discreet, trustworthy, and highly presented, with excellent, checkable references
• Flexible, adaptable, and happy to work closely with a busy family
• Right to work in the UK, with supporting documentation
