Private Client Tax Associate Director

Forvis Mazars is a leading global professional services network providing audit, assurance, tax and advisory services.

The Private Client Tax Advisory Associate Director role is based in the Glasgow office and focuses on delivering personal tax advisory services to business owners, trustees and high net worth individuals across the UK.

Responsibilities

• Manage a portfolio of private client tax clients as the main point of contact in the Glasgow office.
• Develop the portfolio to grow a profitable base of work.
• Target and develop a portfolio of businesses to start new relationships and generate new work for private client tax and other service lines.
• Review tax reports prepared by junior team members.
• Ensure work in progress analysis and billing are kept up to date.
• Coordinate with HMRC on various issues.
• Assist partner(s) with identifying specific advisory issues such as shareholder profit extraction/exit planning, shareholder and personal succession planning, individual relocation, etc.

Qualifications

• Hold a relevant professional qualification (e.g., CTA) or equivalent experience.
• Extensive experience in personal tax services.
• Significant experience developing project plans and ensuring deadlines are met.
• Ability to think creatively, generate innovative ideas, and develop new initiatives and methodologies.
• Experience identifying opportunities for business development on tax clients and across other service lines.
• Proficiency with personal tax on CCH Central is an advantage.
