An enticing opportunity for an established associate director or aspirational tax senior manager to step into a revered tax & accountancy firm based in the South of England.

A top 20 firm is hiring at the Associate Director level, looking for an individual capable of managing a diverse client portfolio on a compliance and advisory basis.

Day to Day Responsibilities

In this role, you will:

• Deliver a comprehensive range of tax services, managing a private client portfolio with a focus on personal tax compliance and advisory work
• Identify tax-sensitive expenditure and wider planning opportunities
• Liaise directly with clients to resolve queries and provide timely, practical advice
• Coordinate with internal teams to ensure client work is delivered on time and in line with regulatory requirements
• Oversee client portfolios to ensure all statutory and regulatory deadlines are met
• Support the management and development of the Private Client Tax team through performance reviews, coaching, and skills development
• Monitor personal utilisation, productivity, and work in progress (WIP) to ensure effective workload management
• Provide clear guidance, mentoring, and constructive feedback to colleagues

Candidate Requirements

Qualifications:

• CTA, ACA, ACCA, CA, or equivalent professional qualification

Experience:

• Exposure to a broad range of industry sectors (desirable)
• Previous experience in personal, private client, or mixed tax roles within a professional practice environment (essential)
• Demonstrated ability to manage complex client portfolios

Skills and Technical Expertise:

• Strong technical knowledge of UK tax legislation
• Proven ability to research and interpret complex tax matters
• High standards of accuracy and attention to detail
• Confident communicator with strong problem-solving capability
