About The Role

Prison officers protect the public and help to make a positive impact on people's lives. The role is fast paced with no two days or situations ever the same. You will work various shifts and weekends, acting as a peacekeeper, counsellor, educator, and team member to maintain safety for the prison, offenders, and all staff.

Responsibilities

• Work as a peacekeeper, maintaining order within the prison.
• Provide support and guidance to offenders, often acting as a counsellor or teacher.
• Build constructive, positive and professional relationships with offenders.
• Work closely with colleagues, acting as one team to keep the prison safe.
• Perform duties on shifts and weekends.
