Principal Software Engineer

Our engineering teams, located inNew Malden, UK, andHamburg, Germany, work closely together to develop and maintain a wide range of navigation products, with an ambitious roadmap for future innovations.

We are currently seeking aPrincipal SoftwareEngineerto join our Engineering Department in New Malden who thrives in collaborative, cross-functional environments and brings technical skills and human understanding - someone who excels in problem-solving, communication and teamwork.

Key responsibilities of this role include:

• Work on full life-cycle software development.
• Supporting diagnosis and correction of software issues experienced in the field.
• Participate in AGILE-based development.
• Participate in code reviews and regular team meetings.
• Liaise with System Test regarding progress of development tasks
• Team leadership

• Strong analytical skills and experience of code and design review for large projects.
• Long Experience of multi-threaded and distributed applications, preferably with an understanding of network protocols.
• Strong, proven experience in a software development environment (ideally over 8 years)
• Strong experience in developing Windows desktop applications in C#
• Experience with .NET environment
• Experience with Windows Forms
• Experience with TCP/IP & UDP protocols
• Collaborative by nature

• Problem-solver beyond code
