Position Summary:As a Principal Scientist in Global MSAT, your primary role is as Technical Owner (TO), responsible for significant program/brand. The TO is the voice of MSAT in the Value Chain Team and oversees the technical aspects of Lifecycle Management of DP during its commercial lifespan.
Key Responsibilities:- Represents MSAT and the technical team in the Value Chain Team (VCT) and provides manufacturing technical support.
- Participates in the VCT to develop long-term supply strategies, scenario development, and impact analysis.
- Supports the VCT to identify improvement and innovation opportunities, build business cases, and prioritize projects.
- Coordinates all product-related technical activities.
- Supervises technical process and product performance.
- Identifies and implements opportunities to reduce manufacturing costs.
- Implements or follows up on technical projects.
- Deploys platform standardization policies as appropriate.
- Supports failure investigations related to quality or compliance events.
- Reviews technical product & process risk profiles and criticality analyses.
- Supports new platform innovations or changes in lifecycle management products.
- Provides expertise to External Manufacturing concerning the Biotherapeutics Platform.
- Bachelor's degree required.
Required:
- Minimum 8 years of relevant experience with BS degree or 5+ years with an advanced degree (MS/MBA/Ph.D.).
- Experience in process validation, preferably in large molecule Drug Product.
- Experience leading Tech Transfer and Launch activities.
- Technical knowledge of biopharmaceutical manufacturing site operations.
- GMP manufacturing experience.
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
- Leadership in cross-functional and matrix teams.
- Knowledge of lifecycle strategy of products.
- Risk-based science approach and regulatory intelligence.
- Ability to influence peers, superiors, and external partners.
Preferred:
- Experience in Lifecycle Management, DP development, and project management.
- Familiarity with document management systems like TruVault, SAP, MS Office, TrackWise, Planisware, MS Project, Minitab.
- Willingness to travel up to 20% as needed in NC areas.

Salary Range: $100,000 - $173,000 USD
