We are seeking an experienced and motivated Principal Local Land Charges Officer to lead and develop our Local Land Charges service. This is an exciting opportunity for a knowledgeable professional to play a key role in delivering a high quality, customer focused service that supports residents, businesses, conveyancers and developers across the borough.
As the Principal Local Land Charges Officer, you will be responsible for the effective management of the Local Land Charges function, ensuring that searches and enquiries are processed accurately, efficiently and in accordance with relevant legislation, regulations and performance standards.
Responsibilities- Lead and manage the Local Land Charges service, ensuring the accurate and timely processing of CON29 searches and maintenance of the statutory Local Land Charges Register.
- Interpret and implement changes to Local Land Charges legislation, policies and procedures ensuring full compliance and effective service delivery.
- Support digital transformation initiatives, including GIS and land charges system developments.
- Drive continuous improvement through project management, performance monitoring, budget management and service development initiatives.
The ideal candidate shouldhave excellent communication skills, knowledge of local land charges legislation and the ability to analyse and resolve complex information. We are looking for someone who is positive and enthusiastic, able to manage their own time successfully and has previously managed a Local Land Charges service or is looking for an opportunity to take the next step a leadership role.
