Role - Principal Landscape Architect
Location - Liverpool
Salary - £DOE Our client is a well-established multidisciplinary consultancy based in Liverpool is looking for a Principal Landscape Architect. They work on an interesting mix of projects across the UK and Ireland, especially around renewables, energy, and infrastructure. They're involved in onshore wind farms, solar projects, and grid connections. They also work on big infrastructure and development sites, doing everything from landscape and visual assessments to shaping masterplans. The Liverpool office is centrally located with excellent transport connections, making commuting straightforward. It's within easy walking distance of Liverpool's mainline rail stations, providing direct services to Manchester, Birmingham, and other major cities. The office is also well-served by local Merseyrail and bus routes, allowing simple access from across the city. For those driving, the office is easily reached via the M62 and M6, offering good links to the North West, the Midlands, and beyond. - Establishing and managing a landscape team to support strategic infrastructure and renewables projects, ensuring projects remain on schedule and within budget
- Preparing visual assessments and masterplanning documents
- Undertaking field visits, including photography and site evaluations
- Actively seeking new business opportunities, building client relationships, and preparing proposals
- Working closely within multidisciplinary teams and engaging with stakeholders
- Planning and carrying out field surveys and analysing outputs alongside other environmental data (e.g., biodiversity metrics)
- Designing and co-ordinating planting and landscape plans
- A degree/post graduate degree in Landscape Architecture
- A chartered member of the Landscape Institute (CMLI)
- Strong experience preparing visual assessments
- Confident report writing, organisation, and client-facing capability
- Familiarity with CAD, GIS, and graphic presentation tools
- Commercial awareness and confidence in winning and delivering work
- Ability to work both independently and within a collaborative team environment
- A full UK driving licence and the flexibility to travel for projects
