A few application tips

  • Clear, specific examples of your work and impact
  • Relevant experience aligned with the role's focus
  • A thoughtful response to any application questions
  • A resume that highlights both what you did and why it mattered

If you're unsure whether your background is the "perfect fit," we still encourage you to apply. We value potential and growth just as much as experience.

Why this role exists

As Snap continues to grow, we're partnering with clients on increasingly complex, strategic data initiatives. From enterprise-wide transformations to shaping go-to-market strategies, our Principals play a pivotal role in driving both delivery excellence and commercial growth.

We're looking for a Principal Data Platform Consultant to join our Delivery team. We're looking for someone who can lead major programmes, build board-level relationships, and shape Snap's strategic direction. This role is key to helping our clients unlock long-term value from their data while mentoring senior team members and contributing to Snap's evolution.

You'll be joining a team that values strategic thinking, collaboration, and commercial awareness. If you enjoy leading from the front, influencing outcomes, and inspiring others, this could be a great fit.

What you'll be doing

You'll lead strategic client engagements, manage large-scale programmes, and shape Snap's delivery and capability strategy. You'll work closely with senior stakeholders, guide internal initiatives, and mentor future leaders.

Your responsibilities will include:

  • Leading the design and delivery of enterprise-scale data programmes, ensuring strategic alignment and long-term impact
  • Building and maintaining board-level relationships with clients, identifying opportunities for growth and innovation
  • Shaping Snap's go-to-market strategy and contributing to capability development across the organisation
  • Managing large teams through others, ensuring delivery excellence and commercial success
  • Mentoring senior consultants and managers, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous learning
  • Representing Snap externally through thought leadership, speaking engagements, and industry forums

In your first 3-6 months, success might look like:

  • Leading a strategic data transformation programme for a key client
  • Building a trusted relationship with a senior stakeholder and identifying new growth opportunities
  • Shaping an internal initiative that enhances Snap's delivery capability or training strategy
  • Coaching a senior consultant into a leadership role
What you'll need to succeed

We're looking for someone who brings strategic vision, technical depth, and commercial acumen.

You might be a great fit if you have:

  • 15+ years of professional experience in Data
  • Extensive experience in data and analytics consulting, with a track record of leading strategic programmes
  • Deep technical expertise in cloud data platforms (e.g. Snowflake, Databricks, Matillion) and data architecture
  • Strong stakeholder engagement skills, including experience working with board-level clients
  • A commercial mindset and ability to align delivery with business outcomes
  • A passion for mentoring, innovation, and organisational development

This role might not be the right fit if you're looking for:

  • A purely hands-on technical role without leadership or client-facing responsibilities
  • A role focused on data science or theoretical analytics
