Delivery Principal - UK Public Sector (Consultancy Background Required)

Our client, a leading digital consultancy, is seeking a Delivery Principal to lead complex public sector programmes and drive strategic growth across key accounts. This is a senior leadership role requiring a blend of delivery excellence, presales expertise, and consultative client engagement.

Essential Candidate Profile

To be considered, candidates must meet the following criteria:

• Consultancy Background: Proven experience delivering projects within a consultancy environment into UK public sector clients.
• Presales & Bid Involvement: Demonstrable experience contributing to bids, writing responses, and presenting solutions to clients.
• DDaT Project Leadership: Strong track record managing Digital, Data and Technology (DDaT) projects in multi-supplier environments.
• Delivery Methodologies: Skilled in both Agile and Waterfall approaches, with the ability to adapt based on project needs.
• Consultative Approach: Ability to nurture client relationships, ensuring satisfaction in current delivery while identifying opportunities for added value and future growth.

Note: Job split expected to be circa 75% time in Project (s) Delivery, 25% sales effort contribution. In respect of the sales contribution efforts, note this is a delivery role where consultants are NOT expected to drive new sales opportunity, but instead contribute to the bidding process of opportunities already identified.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead end-to-end delivery of complex digital transformation programmes.
• Drive account growth through successful delivery and strategic client engagement.
• Own revenue forecasting and financial tracking across projects.
• Manage multi-supplier engagements and cross-functional teams.
• Support presales activities including bid writing and client presentations.
• Foster high-performing delivery teams through coaching and mentoring.

Requirements

• Eligible for SC Clearance.
• Experience in cloud technologies (Azure, AWS).
• Strong commercial awareness and financial acumen.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
