Principal Civil Engineer
Location: Oxfordshire
Salary: £55,000 to £65,000 + package (Fully remote available)
Our client is an award-winning multidisciplinary design consultancy seeking a Principal Infrastructure Engineer to join their growing team in Oxfordshire. They are dedicated to delivering sustainable developments throughout the UK.
What are we looking for?
We are looking for an experienced Infrastructure Engineer with a talent for thinking outside the box, who enjoys a collaborative approach to developing pragmatic and innovative design solutions for various technical and environmental challenges in land development.
Ideally, candidates will have 3-5 years of proven experience in land development, strong 2D CAD skills, experience in preparing General Arrangement plans and construction details, with some capability in developing 3D skills, and familiarity with the following software:
- Autodesk CAD - Essential
- Civils 3D design - Preferable
- Site 3D - Preferable
- Infodrainage / Microdrainage - Essential
Candidates should have a proven track record of preparing technical submission drawings for S38/S278 and S104 submissions.
Your key areas of knowledge and expertise:
- BEng Civil Engineering degree
- Experience in consultancy/private sector development, particularly in residential projects
- Experience in highway and drainage design for both private and adoptable works
- Proficiency in producing technical drawings for tender and construction purposes
- Numerate and software literate, with experience in 3D modelling software, Microdrainage, and AutoCAD
Ideally, candidates will also have experience with legal, planning, and technical consent procedures, including Section 38/278 and Section 104 agreements, and familiarity with design standards such as Manual for Streets, Local Authority Design guides, the SuDS Manual, and DCG.
