Prime Brokerage/Global Netting Manager - Collateral Management

Overview

Purpose of the role: To support business areas with day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading and issue resolution. The role involves collaboration with teams across the bank to align and integrate operational processes, identify areas for improvement, and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risk and maintain efficiency. Responsibility includes development of reports and presentations on operational performance for internal senior stakeholders and monitoring industry trends to implement banking best practices. Participation in projects and initiatives to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Responsibilities

• Support day-to-day processing, reviewing, reporting, trading, and issue resolution for various business areas.
• Collaborate with multiple teams to align and integrate operational processes across the bank.
• Identify areas for improvement and provide recommendations to enhance operational processes.
• Develop and implement operational procedures and controls to mitigate risks and maintain efficiency.
• Create reports and presentations on operational performance and communicate findings to senior stakeholders.
• Identify industry trends and developments to implement best practices in banking operations.
• Participate in projects and initiatives aimed at improving operational efficiency and effectiveness.

Role Profile

Join Barclays as a Collateral Management - Prime Brokerage / Global Netting Manager. The role provides critical experience and expertise to the Barclays collateral function supporting the Prime Business, contributing to daily margin activity and regulatory compliance. The Collateral and Margin teams act as a first line of defense, ensuring strong delivery, control and oversight of potential risks, and managing client service across teams. The role requires close partnership with colleagues across the function and with diverse stakeholders in business and infrastructure teams.

Qualifications & Experience

• Experience within Collateral Management/Prime Brokerage or equivalent industry experience. Markets background and Investment Operations experience preferred.
• Ability to influence and proactively manage diverse internal stakeholder groups including Sales, Trading & Product Control.
• Experience in managing a team and collaborating with other teams within the business.
• Strong quantitative and numerate skills; excellent interpersonal skills including relationship management, communication, and teamwork.
• Track record of delivering in a significant business-facing role; strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to engage in complex data analysis from multiple sources and communicate complex information clearly. Ability to influence stakeholders to achieve outcomes.
