Primary Teaching Assistant

Newport £93 per day Start Date: 13th April Full Time Term Time Only A welcoming and well established primary school in Newport is seeking a full time Teaching Assistant to support pupils in Year 1 and Year 2 from April.

This is a long term opportunity within a supportive school environment, with a strong focus on early development, pupil wellbeing, and positive classroom engagement.

The successful candidate will work closely with the class teacher to support learning across Key Stage.

Responsibilities

• Supporting teaching and learning within the classroom
• Working with small groups and individual pupils
• Assisting with literacy and numeracy development
• Encouraging positive behaviour and engagement
• Helping to create a safe, inclusive, and supportive learning environment
• A nurturing and inclusive approach to education
• Supportive leadership and collaborative staff team
• A clear focus on pupil progress and wellbeing

Full training and ongoing support will be provided.

This role would suit individuals who are looking to develop their experience within a primary school setting.
