Aspire People are recruiting an experienced SEND Teaching Assistant to support pupils with Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) needs within a welcoming primary school in North Manchester.
The school has a strong inclusion policy and works proactively to support pupils who require additional emotional and behavioural guidance.
Your Responsibilities- Supporting pupils with SEMH needs on a 1:1 and small-group basis
- Implementing behaviour management strategies consistently
- Supporting emotional regulation and resilience building
- Assisting with differentiated learning tasks
- Recording progress and contributing to individual support plans
- Supporting positive transitions throughout the school day
- Has recent experience working with children with SEMH or behavioural needs
- Remains calm under pressure and can de-escalate situations effectively
- Builds strong, professional relationships with pupils
- Has a proactive and adaptable approach
- Is committed to safeguarding and inclusion
