We are currently recruiting for a committed and adaptable Primary School SEN Teaching Assistant to support a welcoming and inclusive primary school in Oldbury. This role is available on both a full time basis and part time (minimum of 3 days per week), with an immediate start. The school is looking for a supportive and patient individual to work closely with pupils who have additional needs, helping them to access learning and feel confident within the classroom environment. You will play a key role in ensuring children receive the encouragement and structure they need to succeed.
Responsibilities- Providing 1:1 and small group support for pupils with special educational needs
- Assisting the class teacher with adapting lessons and learning materials
- Supporting children with ASD, ADHD, learning difficulties, and SEMH needs
- Promoting positive behaviour and emotional wellbeing
- Encouraging independence and building pupils' self esteem
- Monitoring progress and providing feedback to teaching staff
- Has experience working in a primary school or supporting children with SEN
- Is calm, patient, and resilient in their approach
- Can build strong, positive relationships with pupils and staff
- Is flexible and able to adapt to different classroom environments
- Has strong communication and teamwork skills
- Holds an enhanced DBS on the Update Service (or is willing to obtain one)
