Primary School - DN4Full Time (5 days per week)Start: ASAP Fixed Term until December 2026Salary: Paid to Scale (MPS)
We are seeking a dedicated and enthusiastic Year 2 Teacher to join a friendly and supportive primary school in the DN4 area. This is a full-time position, starting as soon as possible and initially running until December 2026, with the potential for a permanent role for the right candidate.

The Role
The successful candidate will:
- Take responsibility for a Year 2 class, delivering engaging and well-structured lessons
- Plan, assess, and adapt teaching in line with the KS1 National Curriculum
- Deliver high-quality phonics teaching
- Maintain high expectations for behaviour and learning
- Work collaboratively with colleagues, support staff, and leadership
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum, particularly Year 2
- Is confident and consistent with positive behaviour management
- Demonstrates strong classroom practice and a nurturing approach to learning
- Is reflective, motivated, and eager to contribute to school life
- Holds QTS (or will shortly obtain it)
