• Annual Salary: £14.63 per hour

• 08:45 - 15:15
• Start ASAP until July 2026

Join our team at Heysham School as a Teaching Assistant, where you will have the opportunity to contribute to a friendly and supportive environment. This role is ideal for someone with a good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum and who is looking for ongoing professional development opportunities.

Day-to-day of the role:

• Assist in the delivery of daily lessons and educational activities tailored to the needs of KS1 students.
• Support the classroom teacher in preparing materials and setting up activities.
• Help manage classroom behaviour and ensure a positive learning environment.
• Work closely with individual students or small groups to reinforce learning material.
• Participate in and supervise students during school activities and outings.
• Assist with the after-school club on Tuesdays and Wednesdays, with a finishing time of 4:30 PM (Not mandatory but paid)

Required Skills & Qualifications:

• Good knowledge of the KS1 curriculum.
• Experience in a teaching assistant role or similar educational position
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
• TA2 qualification or other relevant certification
• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
• Commitment to professional growth and development.
