Learning Support Assistant - Primary School Resource Provision
Reed Education are seeking a compassionate, dedicated and enthusiastic Learning Support Assistant to join a welcoming primary school in the Fleet area of Hampshire.
This full-time position will involve supporting a small group of pupils within a specialist Autism Resource Provision, helping children to access learning, develop social communication skills and build confidence within a nurturing school environment.

The Role
As a Learning Support Assistant, you will:
- Provide 1:1 and small-group support for pupils with autism.
- Support children to access the curriculum both within the resource provision and mainstream classroom where appropriate.
- Implement strategies to support communication, emotional regulation and social interaction.
- Work closely with teachers, SEN staff and external professionals.
- Encourage independence and celebrate individual achievements.
- Promote a safe, positive and inclusive learning environment.
The Ideal Candidate
We are looking for someone who:
- Has experience working with children, preferably those with additional needs.
- Has a patient, caring and resilient approach.
- Is passionate about supporting children with autism.
- Can build positive relationships with pupils, staff and parents.
- Is able to adapt learning activities to meet individual needs.
- Holds a Teaching Assistant qualification or relevant experience (desirable but not essential).
