Posted 10 days 7 hours ago by Church of England
Our vision as the Diocese is about confident clergy equipping confident Christians to live and tell the good news of Jesus Christ. For all our appointments we are seeking clergy who have a joyful and confident faith which has inspired a track record of church growth.
The parish of Warley lies to the west of Halifax, West Yorkshire, bordering the Calder Valley and the higher ground to the north-west, and has characteristics of village life despite being on the outskirts of a major town.
The parish is being enlarged to take in the area of Pellon, a parish whose church is in the closure process. There is hope that a new priest will build relationships across the extended parish, reach out into the community with the love of God, develop discipleship and nurture new believers. In coming years, the pioneering of a new worshipping community in the Pellon area would be welcomed.
The Diocese of Leeds is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children, young people and vulnerable adults. All post holdersare expected to share this commitment. All appointments to roles undertaking regulated activity are subject topre-appointment checks, including references and a satisfactory Enhanced DBS Check
