Pricipal Consultant - Virtual Machine & Linux Systems

We're seeking a highly experienced Consultant to join a cutting-edge project focused on virtual machine deployment and Back End system operations. If you thrive in Linux environments and have deep expertise in VM technologies, this is your opportunity to make a real impact.

What You'll Do

• Lead the new setup, configuration, and operation of virtual machines across diverse environments including Hyper-V and VMware.

• Collaborate with the customer to design and implement pre-built VM images for distribution.

• Evaluate and potentially integrate tools like MKOSI or other image-building solutions.

• Operate and optimize Back End systems running on virtual machines.

• Work within a Linux-based infrastructure (Debian preferred, but flexible).

Must-Have Skills

• Proven experience as a Principal or Very Senior Consultant in systems engineering or infrastructure.

• Deep hands-on knowledge of virtual machine technologies and environments.

• Strong understanding of Back End operations in customer-facing systems using VMs.

• Familiarity with image-building tools and distribution strategies.

• Solid Linux expertise, especially with Debian or similar distributions.

Nice-to-Have Skills

• Experience with container technologies (eg, Docker, Podman).

• Familiarity with Kubernetes and orchestration tools.
