- To ensure that all repeat prescriptions are produced in a timely manner according to all legal requirements.
- To project a positive & friendly image to patients and other visitors, either in person or via the telephone.
- To respond to queries in a professional, courteous, efficient and effective way and forward all medicines related questions to the practice pharmacist whenever possible or the relevant GP/Nurse/other healthcare professional.
- Ensure the repeat prescriptions are generated accurately and efficiently, within the time specified by the practice.
- Summarise patients medical information & add it to patients computerised medical records summary according to the note summarising protocol as requested by the practice pharmacist.
- Support the GPs and other non-medical prescribers to maximise the use of EPS and repeat dispensing.
- To run audits as required by the practice.
- To contribute to achievement of QoF and PCN IIF markers.
- Undertake any other additional duties appropriate to the post as requested by the Practice Pharmacist.

Person Specification Skills- Excellent interpersonal skills proven ability to communicate effectively at all levels.
- Experience in the use of computer software.
- Able to work on own initiative and as part of a multi-disciplinary team.
- Able to multi-task and follow tasks through to conclusion
- Ability to work with changing and conflicting priorities with limited supervision.
- Ability to remain calm and professional under pressure
- Ability to solve problems within area of work

- Understanding of Primary Care
- Minimum of 1 year period
- Working directly with members of the public in a busy NHS environment
- Experience of using SystmOne
- Educated to GSCE grade C and above in Maths and English or equivalent, ( or substantial experience in similar role will be considered)
- NVQ Level III or equivalent experience
- Significant experience of working at a similar level in specialist area
