Salary

£29,000 - £31,000+ per annum (dependent on experience) + benefits

  • Monday to Friday schedule

Job Description

As a Preschool Room Leader, you will take the lead within a well-established nursery setting, supporting children's development through engaging, play-based learning in line with EYFS standards. This setting offers a warm, child-focused environment where creativity, curiosity, and emotional wellbeing are prioritised. Located in Sunningdale, Berkshire (SL5), the nursery provides a supportive and collaborative workplace with strong leadership and a focus on continuous development. This role would suit a confident and experienced early years professional who thrives in a leadership position and is passionate about delivering high-quality childcare and education.

Key Responsibilities
  • Lead and manage the daily running of the preschool room
  • Plan and deliver engaging EYFS-based activities and learning experiences
  • Support, mentor, and guide junior team members within the room
  • Ensure high standards of care, safety, and safeguarding are maintained
  • Monitor and assess children's progress, maintaining accurate records
  • Build strong relationships with parents and carers
  • Maintain a stimulating, inclusive, and safe learning environment
  • Ensure compliance with Ofsted and regulatory requirements
  • Work collaboratively with the wider nursery team and management
  • Promote positive behaviour and support children's emotional development
Requirements
  • Right to work in the UK (no sponsorship available)
  • Level 3 qualification in Early Years (or equivalent)
  • Proven experience working within a preschool room leader role
  • Strong understanding of EYFS and early years frameworks
  • Ability to lead a room and deliver high-quality childcare and education
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with families and colleagues
  • Confident working independently and managing a team environment
