Job Description
We are looking for an efficient and enthusiastic Precision Farming Support Assistant to join our well-established Precision Farming team at Head Office, based in Maldon, Essex.
Role PurposeReporting directly to the Precision Farming Manager, you will be responsible for providing telematics and Precision Farming support to our customers.
Key Responsibilities- Provide telematics and Precision Farming support to customers from the Ulting Sales Office, including responding to customer enquiries via the help line.
- Install, set up and maintain customer telematics accounts, ensuring information is recorded accurately and kept up to date.
- Manage subscriptions and activations for correction signals and telematics, providing clear advice and guidance where required.
- Support customers with system training, helping them to get the best from their telematics and Precision Farming equipment.
- Use initiative to troubleshoot issues, liaise with colleagues and escal ate matters where appropriate.
- Good knowledge of GPS operating systems, the precision farming market and agricultural practices is desirable, although related skills would be considered.
- Previous experience of working within an agriculture-related field is desirable.
- Strong communication skills with a professional telephone manner and confidence in dealing with people at all levels.
- Discreet and trustworthy when handling confidential information.
- Excellent organisational skills with the ability to multitask and adapt in a fast paced environment.
- Exceptional accuracy and attention to detail across written communication and numerical data.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office, including Word, Excel and PowerPoint.
- Self motivated, approachable and a team player, with the ability to work independently and use initiative.
- Well presented and detail oriented.
- Full driving licence.
- Start Date: Immediate, but subject to successful candidates notice period
- Hours: 42.5 hours per week, 8am to 5.30pm Monday to Friday (1-hour unpaid lunch break) - Additional hours as required which may include weekends as per rota especially during peak periods e.g. Harvest'
