Pre-Construction Lead - Scottish Water projects 
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Pre-Construction Lead to join our team. This role is pivotal in ensuring the successful planning and execution of projects within the Scottish Water frameworks. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in civil engineering, pre-construction planning, and stakeholder management, coupled with a deep understanding of water infrastructure projects.
Responsibilities- Project Development: Lead the pre-construction phase of Scottish Water projects, including feasibility studies, early contractor involvement (ECI), and technical design reviews.
- Planning and Programming: Develop detailed project plans, schedules, and resource requirements to ensure successful project delivery.
- Stakeholder Engagement: Collaborate with internal teams, clients, and external stakeholders to align project objectives, budgets, and timelines.
- Bid Management: Oversee the preparation of tenders, ensuring submissions are comprehensive, competitive, and aligned with client requirements.
- Risk Management: Identify potential risks during the pre-construction phase and develop mitigation strategies.
- Innovation and Sustainability: Drive innovation in project planning and design, ensuring compliance with sustainability goals and industry best practices.
- Team Leadership: Coordinate and mentor cross-functional teams, fostering a culture of collaboration and continuous improvement.
- Proven experience in pre-construction roles within the civil engineering or water infrastructure sectors.
- Strong knowledge of Scottish Water frameworks and regulatory requirements.
- Expertise in project planning tools (e.g., Primavera, MS Project) and design management processes.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with a track record of successful stakeholder engagement.
- Ability to lead multi-disciplinary teams and manage competing priorities effectively.
- Relevant qualifications in Civil Engineering or a related discipline (degree level preferred).
- Membership of a relevant professional body (e.g., ICE, CIWEM) is advantageous.
