Pre-Construction Design Manager

The opportunity

We're looking for an experienced Design Manager to join the Birmingham team, with a strong background in industrial, logistics, manufacturing or similarly complex construction environments.

You'll take ownership of design management across major projects, working closely with the project team, consultants, clients and supply chain to ensure design is coordinated, buildable and delivered to the highest standards.

This is a role for someone who enjoys being involved from the early stages, can challenge design intelligently and is comfortable operating in a fast-paced main contracting environment.

You'll bring:

• Proven experience as a Design Manager within a main contractor environment
• Strong industrial / logistics / manufacturing project experience
• A solid understanding of design coordination, buildability and technical compliance
• Confidence working with consultants, clients and specialist subcontractors
• Strong communication and stakeholder management skills
• The ability to lead, influence and take ownership
• A commercially aware and solutions-focused approach
