BP, wound care, injections, vaccinations, baby clinic vaccinations, smears (if possible), chronic disease reviews

We are a 3 partner one salaried GP practice

We have just under 4000 patients

In the Mumbles area of Swansea.

Job responsibilities

Wound Dressings, Blood pressure monitoring, performing ECGs, Vaccinations, Baby vaccinations, injections, foreign travel advice, chronic disease management, health promotion, smear (preferred but not essential)

Position Title

PART-TIME PRACTICE NURSE

We are a three partner one salaried GP, high achieving practice committed to delivering excellent care to just under 4000 patients.

We are looking to recruit a part time Practice Nurse.

Duties to Include General Practice Nursing Care
  • Blood pressure monitoring
  • Performing ECG
  • Baby Clinic (Thursdays 13:30-15:30)
  • Chronic Disease Management
  • Health Promotion
  • Taking cervical smears preferred but not essential
Nursing Hours

16 hours a week

Thursday 08:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:30 (includes baby clinic every other Thursday)

Friday 08:30-12:30 and 13:30-17:30

Additional hours would be available to cover annual leave and sickness absence

20 days annual leave plus bank holidays

Probationary period

We are seeking a qualified Nurse who is enthusiastic, approachable, compassionate, organised and confident

Providing general nursing support to the GP's and Nurses at the Practice. Experience of Chronic management would be desirable.
