Dudley / Old Hill Up to £30,000 Full Time Independent Optician

We are working with an established independent optician, with practices in Dudley and Old Hill, who are looking for a confident and motivated Practice Manager to join their team.

This is a great opportunity for someone with strong leadership, organisation and customer service skills who enjoys taking responsibility for the smooth running of a practice.

The Role

As Practice Manager, you will play an important role in the day-to-day running of the practice, supporting your team and ensuring patients receive an excellent level of service.

Your responsibilities will include:

Managing and supporting the practice team Overseeing the day-to-day running of the practice Delivering excellent customer service and patient care Supporting and motivating team members Managing appointments and practice workflow Monitoring performance and helping achieve practice targets Maintaining high standards across the practice Handling customer queries and resolving issues professionally Supporting stock, administration and general practice management Helping to maintain and develop strong relationships with patients

About You

We're looking for someone who is confident, organised and people focused.

You may already be working as a Practice Manager, Assistant Manager, Optical Assistant, Senior Optical Assistant or in another customer-focused management role.

Ideally, you will have:

• Previous management or team leadership experience
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Strong organisation and attention to detail
• A confident and professional approach
• A genuine passion for delivering excellent customer service
• The ability to motivate and support a team
• A proactive approach to problem-solving
• An optical qualification is not required for this role.

Salary & Benefits

• Salary up to £30,000, depending on experience
• Up to 37.5 hours per week 28 days annual leave, including bank holidays
• NEST pension scheme
• Statutory Sick Pay (SSP)
• Maternity Pay 45-minute lunch break
• 6-month probationary period
• Professional business attire
• Saturday is a normal paid working day
• Expected to work approximately 1-2 Saturdays per month, with flexibility required
• Bonus structure is not currently in place; any future bonus would be based on store performance

The Practice

The role will involve working across the independent practices in Dudley and Old Hill.

The practices offer a personalised service, with an average dispensing value of approximately £200, giving the successful candidate the opportunity to work within a quality-focused independent environment.

Parking: Street parking is available, with a paid car park located opposite the Old Hill practice.
