Refrigeration Engineer - PPM

Leeds

Salary £43,014 plus vehicle, and excellent package

Permanent full time

We are working with a large, national facilities management contractor who have an excellent industry reputation, look after their staff well and have very established and stable contracts nationally.

They are currently looking to recruit a Refrigeration Engineer - PPM ideally based around the South Yorkshire/Sheffield/Doncaster and surrounding regions to work on a range of refrigeration and air conditioning units and systems.

The role will involve carrying out planned refrigeration maintenance across supermarket stores.

Key Responsibilities:
  • To ensure PPM schedules are completed within agreed timescales and that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
  • Complete reactive work to agreed timescales and ensure that all necessary paperwork is completed accurately and to the laid-down procedures.
  • Identify non-repairable faults promptly advise the Line manager of findings, with recommendations regarding suitable replacements.
  • Ensure that all technical and compliance paperwork is always completed and up to date.
  • Requirement to participate on an out of hours standby rota - minimum of 4 x standby period annually.
The ideal candidate:
  • Experience in working with supermarket refrigeration systems.
  • Full driving license.
  • Experience using a PDA system.
  • Ability to read technical drawings.
  • Carried out PPM within a similar retail environment.
Qualifications / Experience:
  • SVQ/NVQ Level 2/3 within Refrigeration or Equivalent Qualification.
  • City and Guilds 2079-1 FGas Category 1.
