Power BI Business Analyst (Operational Excellence)

A Business Analyst specialising in the design, development, and optimisation of interactive dashboards, primarily using Microsoft Power BI and approved digital platforms. The role focuses on transforming complex data into clear, actionable insights to support performance improvement and strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities

• Gather and translate stakeholder requirements into effective data visualisation solutions
• Design and develop interactive dashboards and reports using Power BI and related tools
• Build and manage data models, integrating multiple data sources for analysis
• Apply data visualisation best practices, including drill-through and advanced analytics features
• Collaborate with data analysts and business users to ensure data accuracy and relevance
• Optimise dashboards for performance, usability, and scalability
• Publish and maintain dashboards for stakeholder access and reporting needs
• Deliver training and ongoing support to end users

Key Deliverables

• Metrics dashboards
• Balanced scorecard reports
• Qualification and performance reports
• Automation usage analytics
• Integrated survey and reporting tools
• Training materials and sessions

Technical Skills (Minimum 18 months experience in some of the below)

• Power BI, PowerApps, Power Automate
• SQL Server, Dataverse, relational databases
• SharePoint, JSON, HTML
• Programming: Python, JavaScript, TypeScript, React
• Development tools: Visual Studio, Visual Studio Code, Power Platform CLI
• Basic knowledge of C++
