Role

Design and deploy a new PostgreSQL instance tailored for performance, scalability, and reliability. Ensure best practice configuration and robust security standards.

• Database Administration: Manage and optimize the current PostgreSQL instance, including:
• Indexing strategy
• Storage management
• Query optimization
• General DBA maintenance and monitoring
• Troubleshoot performance issues and provide proactive improvements.
• Development Team Collaboration: Partner with engineering teams to enhance database usage.
• Advise on query optimization, index creation, and schema considerations.
• Advocate for PostgreSQL best practices across projects.

Essential Skills & Experience

• Proven experience designing, deploying, and administering PostgreSQL environments.
• Strong knowledge of indexing, storage management, and performance tuning.
• Hands on experience with query optimization techniques.
• Ability to collaborate closely with development teams to guide effective database usage.
• Solid understanding of typical DBA responsibilities in a production environment.
