About the roleReporting to the Principal Investigator, Dr Niluka Goonawardane, the post holder will be an integral member of a Wellcome Trust funded group undertaking internationally competitive arbovirology research. The successful candidate will be responsible for delivering a defined programme of work using advanced Containment Level 3 (CL-3) experimental approaches and ex vivo model systems.
In addition to conducting high-quality research, the post holder will contribute to the day-to-day management of the research programme and provide guidance and informal supervision to junior researchers and students. Experience with iPSC-derived neuronal models, in vivo experimental systems, and data analysis techniques would be advantageous.
