Post Office Manager

Centra are seeking a Post Office Manager to joins its team.

Main purpose of the role:
To manage the day-to-day operation of the Post Office, ensuring an efficient, secure and customer-focused service at all times. The Post Office Manager will be responsible for maintaining high standards of cash handling, security, compliance and operational accuracy, ensuring all transactions are processed in line with Post Office procedures.

The ideal candidate will have/be:

• Previous experience in a Post Office, retail, financial services or cash handling environment
• Minimum 2 years experience in a cash handling or cash management role
• Strong numerical and reconciliation skills
• Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
• Strong communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work confidentially and follow strict procedures
• Trustworthy, organised and reliable
• Previous supervisory or people management experience is desirable
• Manage and oversee the smooth day-to-day running of the Post Office
• Ensure excellent customer service is delivered at all times
• Maintain all security procedures, ensuring cash, coupons and other valuables are handled and stored securely
• Ensure full confidentiality is maintained in relation to customer and business information
• Reconcile daily cash and transactions in line with Post Office procedures
• Complete daily safe counts and investigate any discrepancies promptly
• Prepare and complete daily over and under reports
• Ensure all operational procedures, compliance requirements and audit standards are followed
• Support, guide and train colleagues working in the Post Office as required
• Escalate issues, risks or irregularities to the appropriate manager in a timely manner

About the locality:

Full time role but part time also considered

Opening Hours are Mon to Fri 9 to 5.30

Saturday 9-1

Start and finshing times will be before and after these opening times.
