Job Description
- Arranging line blockages through the use of NR RailHub
- Producing and maintaining possession plans within the PPS or RailHub system
- Keeping records of SWPs and worksites using various tracker and online systems (QTS/OnTrac)
- Resolving possession and worksite conflicts with NWR and other contractors
- Applying appropriate planning, safety and performance measures
- Attending the relevant planning integration meetings on a regular basis
- Consult with the person in charge and seek advice/guidance from other competent persons, as required, when producing an SWP (e.g. COSS/SWL or a person with task specific competence)
- Booking isolations within worksites
- Produce Safe Work Packs (SWP's)
- Overseeing all rail planning operations within their allocated work bank
- Liaising with the Responsible Managers in respect of maintaining continuity throughout the company
- Work closely with Network Rail and in-house project teams with regards to track access
- Work in accordance with GERT8000 Rule Book and NR/L2/OHS/019 (as amended), Safety of People Working on or Near the Line
- Proven safe systems of work and possession planning experience
- Proven track record in possession planning and completing SWPs
- Establish and maintain excellent working relationships within Network Rail and other contractors
- Excellent understanding of access planning processes and systems with detailed knowledge of relevant standards and procedures
- PTS and SSOWP Sentinel competencies
- Competent in the use of PPS for booking work sites and isolation, RailHub system for booking line blocks and preparation of all safety critical paperwork including SSOW.
