Estelle Manor is a rural retreat set on an 85-acre estate in Oxfordshire. The manor has four restaurants, an extraordinary 3,000 sq metre Roman-inspired spa- Eynsham Baths, 108 bedrooms and a gym with class studios and padel courts. Plus, there's a kids' club for the little ones and a workspace.
The RoleAs a Pool Technician, you will be responsible for the maintenance, safety, and efficient operation of all pools and thermal facilities at the manor. The role will be predominantly based at our Bath House, but will also include maintenance support for the other pools across the estate. As a real team player, you will be happy to support others in the Engineering team as required but your core responsibilities include:
- Developing a strong understanding of the site's various plant room setups.
- Performing daily checks to ensure all equipment and systems are functioning properly.
- Keeping plant rooms clean and compliant with fire safety regulations.
- Carrying out routine water quality testing and accurately recording results as per policy.
- Monitoring and maintaining correct chemical levels in all pools and thermal baths.
- Conducting regular maintenance of pool equipment, including weekly filter cleaning.
- Performing routine flushing of seldom-used outlets to maintain legionella compliance.
- Working alongside third-party contractors to support ongoing system improvements.
- A plant room qualification would be an advantage, but we are also happy to consider candidates with demonstrable equivalent hands on experience.
- Excellent communication skills and comfortable talking to a wide range of people including senior stakeholders, the wider manor teams and guests.
- A motivated team player with a positive attitude, who is also confident working independently with minimal supervision.
- Excellent interpersonal, time management and organisational skills.
The on target earning potential for this role is £42,140 per annum - compromising a base salary of £39,140 plus a qualified estimate of £3,000 in gratuities and service charge.
