Work Base: Highland Podiatry Centre, Abban Street, Inverness.
This exciting position is also open to recent graduates wishing to enhance their clinical skills. The role may include a significant mentorship period covering advanced clinical techniques beyond those typically experienced at college, including extensive nail surgery, Post Tibial blocks, deep enucleations, verrucae needling/blunt dissections, MSK podiatry, and high-risk limb wound care management.
No previous experience is necessary, although an understanding of the philosophy of care aims is desirable. The candidate may be employed at a Band 5 level.
You should have a BSc in Podiatric Medicine, be qualified in L.A and nail surgery, and registered with the HPC.
Inverness offers good transport links to the West Coast, North, and South Scotland, making it an ideal base for outdoor enthusiasts.
The motivated South & Mid Podiatry team is part of the wider NHS Highland Podiatry Department, which meets regularly. Candidates should demonstrate sound professional and clinical knowledge, understanding of clinical governance, and excellent interpersonal and communication skills. A full, current driving license is also essential.
