PMO Business Analyst
Posted 16 hours 46 minutes ago by The Parliamentary and Health Service Ombudsman
We currently have around 490 employees based at our two sites in London (Millbank) and Manchester.
Complaints about government departments and other public organisations are referred to us through MPs, while those about the NHS in England are usually received directly from complainants
In 2019-20, we completed 1210 investigations about 1420 organisations. We upheld 54% of the complaints we investigated. This means that we found the organisation complained about had made mistakes or provided a poor service, and that this had a negative effect on the person complaining that had not been put right.
When an investigation leads to an upheld complaint, we seek appropriate redress for any unremedied injustice or hardship suffered by the complainant. This may involve an explanation of what went wrong, an apology, changes in procedures to prevent problems recurring and, where appropriate, a payment.
About the roleWe are looking for an experienced Business Analyst with a track record of leading and supporting a broad range of successful projects to join our Portfolio Management Office (PMO).
The PMO is responsible for defining, coordinating and managing the delivery of PHSO's change portfolio. Reporting to the PMO Manager, you will work alongside PMO staff, other business analysts, technical teams, project managers and the wider business to perform detailed requirements analyses, map and (re)design processes, and confirm user acceptance of project outputs. Ideally, you will also have experience of leading teams and successfully embedding good business analysis practice through the development of frameworks, guidance and training.
This is a great opportunity for a highly analytical, natural communicator with a broad range of previous business analysis experience to help improve the way we deliver change across the business and drive improvements in public services.
PHSO works with third party recruiters, please note Reed may contact you to progress your application.
